Terms & Conditions

Welcome to the Bluewater Financial Solutions website. By accessing or using our site, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our services or website.

1. User Comments and Public Interaction

  • Data Collection: When visitors choose to leave comments or feedback on the site, we collect the data displayed in the comments form to facilitate public discussion.

  • Security & Spam Detection: To maintain a secure environment, the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string are automatically captured to assist our security systems with automated spam detection filtering.

  • Gravatar Verification: An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to verify if you utilize the platform. (The Gravatar service privacy policy is publicly accessible at https://automattic.com/privacy/). Upon administrative approval of your comment, your profile image is dynamically visible to the public within the context of your comment.

2. Media Upload Guidelines

  • Embedded Data Risks: If you upload images or documentation to the website (such as during file submission or portal interaction), you should strictly avoid uploading files with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included.

  • User Responsibility: Visitors to the website have the technical capacity to download the site’s media assets and extract any embedded location data from them. Bluewater Financial Solutions is not liable for data leakage resulting from user-uploaded files containing location tags.

3. Website Cookies & Tracking Infrastructure

We utilize cookies to optimize your browsing session and remember your preferences:

  • Form Optimization: If you leave a comment or interact with input fields on our site, you may opt-in to saving your name, email address, and website in tracking cookies. These are deployed strictly for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your personal details again during future visits. These specific cookies persist on your browser for one year.

  • Access Points and Login Data: If you visit our secure portal login gateways, we establish a temporary cookie to determine if your browser actively accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded immediately when you close your browser.

  • Persistence of Login Data: When you log into an authorized account tier, we establish several cookies to save your login credentials and screen configuration choices. Login cookies persist for two days, and screen option configuration cookies last for one year. If you explicitly select the “Remember Me” protocol, your active login will persist for two weeks. Logging out of your account manually will trigger the immediate removal of these login cookies.

  • Content Contribution: If you edit or publish an informational article or resource on this site, an additional cookie will be safely stored in your browser. This cookie contains zero personal data and simply references the post ID of the resource you recently updated. It automatically expires after 24 hours.

4. Embedded Third-Party Content

  • External Tracking Behavior: Informational components, calculators, or articles on this site may feature embedded content (e.g., videos, custom quote engines, or external data widgets). Embedded content from third-party websites behaves in the exact same manner as if the visitor had navigated to the external website directly.

  • Data Privacy on External Sites: These independent platforms may independently collect data about you, utilize localized cookies, embed additional third-party tracking metrics, and monitor your precise interaction with that embedded content—particularly if you maintain an active account and are logged into that third-party network during your session.

5. Access Security & Data Logs

  • System Safeguards: For security audit tracking, if you request a password reset for an account profile, your current IP address will be systematically included in the automated reset confirmation email.

6. Data Retention and Content Permanence

  • Comment Archiving: If you submit a public comment, the message and its accompanying metadata are retained indefinitely. This allows our backend systems to recognize and automatically approve any subsequent follow-up comments instead of holding them in an administrative moderation queue.

  • Registered Profiles: For users that successfully register a corporate profile on our website, we securely archive the personal information provided within their distinct user profile. Registered users maintain full authority to view, modify, or delete their personal records at any time (with the standard exception that account usernames cannot be altered). Website administrators maintain master view and editing privileges over that corporate data to assist with site upkeep.

7. User Authority Over Stored Information

  • Data Portability: If you hold an active account portal on this site or have actively left comments, you retain the right to request a structurally exported file detailing the personal information we hold regarding your profile, inclusive of any data you directly provided to us.

  • Right to Erasure: You may also formally request that our compliance team erase any personal records we store concerning your file. Please note that this protocol does not encompass any transactional data we are legally, regulatory, or administratively obligated to retain for corporate compliance, financial audit logs, or security preservation parameters.
